Spraying wear-resistant coatings from clad powders TiB2/Ti and HfB2/Ti

The present work considers the results on synthesis of composite clad powder systems with “core-shell” type structure for spraying wear-resistant metal-ceramic coatings. Powders highly hard TiB 2 and HfB borides were used as a core powder, titanium was to create coating their surface. cladding layer is synthesized by iodine transport method. Powder uses method detecting one component another gas path, agent which contact iodine. deposition powders /Ti implemented microplasma method, which, in contrast classical plasma deposition, makes it possible dissolve transformations due thermal action. In study transverse microsections sprayed coatings, found that during spraying, saturated oxygen, forming dioxide phase, result are converted into coatings from (TiB)/Ti(TiO ) /Ti(TiO ). Features composition terms thickness revealed. hardness shows integral value microhardness based diboride 1300 HV.
